D-Link COVR-2202 Tri-Band

D-Link today released its next generation Covr Tri-Band Whole Home Wi-Fi System (COVR-2202). Featuring a warm and home-friendly design, the new whole-home Wi-Fi system is a simple, intelligent solution offering scalable high-speed mesh Wi-Fi and seamless coverage across the home. Smart Roaming creates a seamless connection while Smart Steering guides devices to the optimum wireless band.

With the ever increasing demand for high-speed Wi-Fi across the home, families need the high-performance mesh Wi-Fi that Covr-2202 delivers,” said Nima Jamshidi, senior product line manager, D-Link Systems. “It’s scalable and perfect for families that stream 4K content, have dead zones, need complete coverage, or are looking to cut the cord.”

Offering Wi-Fi 5 AC2200 speeds, the system uses tri-band Wi-Fi and a dedicated backhaul to deliver high-performance wireless connectivity across the home. The dedicated backhaul channel helps keep the Wi-Fi fast by serving as the communication link between units, freeing up the other two bands for 4K streaming, gaming, faster downloads, and more. The built-in vertical and horizontal antenna combination optimizes connectivity between Covr points to provide maximum Wi-Fi throughout the home. In addition, built-in Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa compatibility allows for a voice-controlled Wi-Fi network.
